My name is Ruth Avotelie Anamogsi, a student of Kwame Nkrumah University of science and Technology, KNUST, studying Bsc. Medical Laboratory Science. I aspire to be one of outstanding personnel in medical research to improve healthcare especially rural communities. I come from Gbedema in the Upper East Region of Ghana, a rural community where the girl-child education and other related issues are of lesser concern to opinion leaders. In such a community, I took it as opportunity to educate young girls on the importance of education and health related issues, especially menstrual hygiene and STI's. I aim to impact the change I crave to see in my community.
